Looking for a new small'ish camera

So at the moment i have a XSI with a bunch of different glass for it.

But im going on a school trip half way across canada sailing. So im looking for something decent size that can get some good photos(obviously not going to be DSLR quality but still) Preferbly something that can take abit of rain as its going to be used ALOT for boating, biking, fishing, hunting that kind of thing.

Hotshoe would be nice to for indoor shooting

I bought the G10 to serve as a "replacement" travel camera for my 30D+lotsa lenses, and couldn't be happier. Images are terrific (as long as you don't require high quality at high ISO and low light), there are many variables via controls, and although it isn't really a "pocket" camera, it handles well. Great macro, too!

the G10 sounds a bit too delicate for your needs.
