I remember all the exitement it this forum when 10D was released.
What is it going for these days. Is 20D much more of a camera than 10D?
What will make you trade in one for 20D?
Your comments Thanks

the 20D has some nice fetures but I am waiting untill the next body to upgrade. if your looking for a big leap foward the 20D is not it, but it did take a couple of steps. the price for a 10D is 700~ 900 dollars depending on condition and can sometimes be found cheeper.

hi there,
well, the only thing I can say is that if you do have a 10D , there is no real reason to look for any upgrade to the 20D, "if there is any". if it's about getting one of the two, then just browse in this forum for hundreds of discussions ......

Looks like it is going from $700 to $850 on BH's used equipment page.
That is probably a fair value to use to judge.
I almost upgraded my 10D to 20D to gain the FPS, EF-s 10-22mm, and better ISO range, but opted for THE camera instead at the expensive of my savings account. I didn't see a big benefit of going from 6 to 8mp by itself.

I agree that going from 6MP to 8MP isn't a good enough reason to upgrade from a 10D to a 20D, however, the better ISO range is thee reason to upgrade to the 20D, everything else is just gravy ;)

yeah 10D to 20D isn't a big jump but it does have a few nice features, some as simple as fast start up, being able to have RAW+jpeg, slightly more MP, longer battery life, faster replay, faster write to CF card compare, my buffer hardly ever fills up the way I am shooting. Anyways, if you really really have to upgrade, 6 months ago, 20D would have been nice, but with the recent price reduction and rebate I would go from a 10D to a 1D2 if I can.
Anyways, I just sold my 20D a week ago, and planning on a bit jump to the 1Ds2 hehehehe

Yeah the 3200 is nice. ISO 3200 is as "useable" as ISO 800, on my wife's Fuji S2Pro.

Shetai, just go tot he main page, it says used equipment at the bottom of the menu.
Just before school ended we got a shipment of 30x20D and 20x1ds MKII. I took both for a big test. I can tell you the 20D is better, but the major difference is the ISO performance, which for any kind of "big print" usage isnt that much better then the 10D, since although noise is much less, it's still noticeable above 800. Focusing is better, but the focus points arent as nice as the 10D. The FPS is still too slow to come in handy for effective rapid fire. Other then that they are the same camera. It's an evolution of the 10D. To notice any kind of a big improvement you would need to jump to a 1 series. The 10D is a very good camera and the 20D improves on some of its weak points, there are no drastic additions.
Cheers
