I have had a pretty young female contact me about doing some modeling. She's new to this as well as I. I asked what she was interested in and she gave me some idea's on what she wanted, which of one was editorial photo's, can someone explain this to me?
This will be done as TFP as to help me and herself.
Also, she is open to suggestions also, she said if I had anything that I'd like to try she would be willing to try it also.

If I understand it correctly, Editorial photos tell a story, instead of being just a pretty face in the picture. The tend to be pictures that illistrate something in an article in newspaper or magazine. The best examples I can think of at the moment is the covers of detective novels. The tend to be the pictures on the covers of magazines (but not always).
If she is new to modeling and interested in doing it as career or extra money, I highly recommend she visit and put 5 good photos on One Model Place (www.onemodelplace.com)
The first 5 are free for models and she can get a lot of opportunities there. Not bad for photographers either, but it costs us even for the lowest level.
Hope that helps,

So she will be doing some nude as well?? Just kidding!!!
I get kidded about nudes all the time and though I shoot a lot of them (the models tend to seek me out much of the time) it is a serious thing. I don't shoot nudes with anyone not ready and wanting very much to do it. In fact, I don't recommend it on a first shoot at all. However, I do say "good luck"!! I hope the shots turn out well and I look forward to seeing them.

In addittion to the above, in your job I'm sure you've checked her ID for age?
I'd have her bring , or supply your own, "minder" on the set so that her "story" is the same as your story, as to what happened there.

Have her look through some mag. and see what pictures she likes, Then just copy the pose, that is one of the easy ways of doing it...
