I took these pictures while fire consumed an entire city block of industrial business'. I found a bench and was able to take practically exclusive pictures of one side of this fire. Exclusive because all the rest had to limit their pictures through a fence.

There were probably 20,000 to 40,000 people from surrounding neighborhoods that came out to watch. Here are some of the pictures I took.

Below, "Oh no the fire truck got stuck on the train track and dug its wheel in deep!" says the Chief (wearing blac) looking at the tire.

Below: Drive gets out to see how bad it is. (mean while the crowd is sort of in a cheering laughing mood)

Please comment if you like any of them. Most were done with manual settings.

WOW! Talk about a "News Worthy" shot, that Firetruck stuck at the RR Track and still trying to put the fire out. Nice job capturing this. :D

Amazing shots,. these are really impressive.
It looks like your white balance went a little "blue" in the 7th and 8th shot?

Why thanks guys.

Ballen, yeah I tried to get a hold of the papers to see about them using it but no one was around. Too bad because as I suspected, all of their shots were through the fence, and on the other side of the tracks where you couldn't see anything. Ah well too bad.

CDS, yeah there was a little blue to those ones, for some reason the camera (i guess) picked up the bright blue of the sky at sunset and gave it a blue look. It may or may not have been because my batteries were almost dead. Ah well, still better then nothing and thank God for Photoshop :)

Oh yeah, of course they got it out, probably is only worth 1-2 million dollars and is on a train track (thankfully one where rail cars park on). I wasn't around when they most likely pulled it out with a tow truck but I was there when it got stuck. It was so strange though, such a community atmosphere watching these business burn to the ground, like after everyone laughed one of the fire fighters came out bowed and gave either the peace sign or the finger. I took a picture of that, but for some reason it turned out blurry :( I never have seen that many people in my area in all my life. Sure they live there but it is different when they all are outside in one spot.

Here's the Edmonton Sun, not a very attractive picture. Especially for cover.
