got a chance to mess around with a buddies Sony Alpha today so here are some pics

I guess the Sony "steady shot" sorta works!

i thought the same when i saw one of the shutter speeds go down to 1/4 and i still got an OK shot with out MASSIVE cam shake or image blurr

That seems in the range of my 18-55 IS kit lens (give or take). I'd be curious to see how well it works with a telephoto lens. 200mm at 1/60? hmmm

^yea, unfortunately she doesnt have a telezoom lens yet, but if she does, ill try to do another quick review

SS is too slow to tell the IQ. It still looks blurry to me.

im open for request as i see her at least once a week, tell me what you guys want shot at what settings and i will try my best to reproduce it for you

i am also curious as to what you guys/gals comments would be

ISO400-1600 (or however high it can go) in good lighting. No purposely noisey underexposed "Sony sucks!!" shots please.

Shots with the telephoto lens at various focal lengths and at lower shutter speeds (maybe as low as 1/60) handheld, so see how well the "steady shot" works. (Of course results could vary depending on the shooter)

That would be cool. :)
