I like the grittiness, composition (mostly), and color. I think it has a strong emotional feel.
Now for the critiques: I think the composition looks too centered - i'd crop it at about half the distance between the right edge and the end of the sleeve.
Also, the image seems a little posterized, particularly the hair and wrinkles on the thumb on the right and forefinger on the left, but also a little on the ends of the clothespins. This detracts from the image a bit, in my mind, especially seeing it in contrast with some of the finer details, like the fingernails, fingerprints and skin texture. If it were me, I'd back off the adjustments (or add masks) to get closer to the original textures.

Thanks Mike,
I will try some reworks in the near future.

Totally agree. In fact, "gritty" was the first word that popped in my mind before I read your response.

Holy texture! I vote you pretty much leave it exactly the same save for the phelp's suggestion to crop the right side just slightly. I like this photo a lot.

I like the color version a lot. Nice composure and the PP is good in this scenario.
Amazing how a glimpse caught by a photo can tell a story as this does.

I like the crop, but the original otherwise looks better to me. I guess I'm being picky, but the hairs and wrinkle lines to the left of the clothespins look kind of like they're tattood on there. Same is true for some of the hairs on the thumb.
That said, I still really like it a lot!
