We have the option of "Image Editing OK", to let people know whether or not it's acceptable for to suggestions on others images using real-life examples.

Would it be possible for there to also be a similar "C+C OK"-type note right next to it, so that people would know if the poster is ok with feedback regardless of which forum they post in?

As it is right now, some put it in their posts, others put in their siggys, and some put nothing then get offended when they get feedback. We do have a C+C forum, but realistically it's not enough to contain things, and from my observations most are very respectful of the "Image Editing OK" notations.

In my opinion, if you post an image in the Photo Sharing section or the Critique section, you assume there will be C&C, both negative and positive. There have been times that I have put, "I'm not looking for C&C." If you won't want your images C&Cd, then don't post them. I am using "you" in the general population, not specific to anyone.

That's basically my view. Just putting it out for public viewing invites comments, by default. But, some people get upset when you do comment.

To me, it's like posting in a political discussion but saying you will only take responses from people that share your ideas. Sorry, doesn't work that way.

I only make the suggestion because people here do, for the most part, respect other people's wishes on image editing, so I thought that maybe the same thing for C+C might help.

Agreed. Why are people so interested in having their ego stroked?

I guess you could add something like " constructive criticism welcome on all of my photographs" to your signature.
