nice set. i brought my xsi and 50mm 1.4, but i couldnt pull off any good shots. i wasnt close enough. time for me to invest in some good zoom. it was my first time bringing my camera into pipeline and i thought they were going to stop me. still new to the dslr game, but it was a good learning experience.

Right on. That was my first time shooting in Pipeline as well. Actually it was my first time even in Pipeline. I shoot for HNLnow which is why I was able to get so close. We can only shoot during the first 3 songs of the main act though. It's definitely the way to see a show. 50mm 1.4 is a sick lense, that was the first one I bought when I got my first DSLR. Thanks again for the comment!

'cause during the opening act, i was on the second floor watching through the glass at the main stage and i turned behind me and saw a tall dude shooting behind me. looked like it was an L lens too.
