This are two boys from a little town in Guatemala, up "Los Cuchumatanes Sierra", they use to recite a very long poem to the tourists for some money. It is cold, located 6000 feet up sea level, pure rock land and just a little water for cooking. Both believe they will have a better future. God bless them.
Hope enjoy the PP.

I like the shot itself, and the concept behind it, however i think the PP is a bit over the top. Maybe tone it down just a tad and i think that would do wonders.

I agree with Christy. Tone the gritty down a bit and add SLIGHT texture, and youll have a winner. What a touching story.

Thanks for your comments... actually it is a Bleach Bypass technique... High Contrast and Low Saturation....Actually I am working in a people series with this kind of color outcome.

I think the first one tells the story - I like the harshness of it.

i am mixed. I like the first one as it tells more about his life thus far. Second one is softer and much quieter. Perhaps the first is a tad over the top in PP....but it has a certain realism feel to it. I like it.

Thank you very much for all your comments.... Suggestions are welcome too as some already did. Photography is like food or clothes.... some like traditional, others like modern style or simple "different". I love story telling photos and this is one of them.
I have tried many color outcome and different PP techniques and it still tell the story. Thanks again.

i really like the first one too - i think it fits the story well where as i don't think the toned down B&W one does.
lovely!
