I really dig #2... not entirely sure why - it seems like it has some story to it as it looks as though someone's taking a photo down the stairwell...
I think #4 would work well with either a very centered point of view or one that's more to one side.

i agree with you with number 4 now that you have mentioned it, it lacks a certain spot that demands people to look at.
