Looking for some reactions to photos. Trying to learn how to position with my 400mm. C/C welcome. The ball went through the glove of the second baseman. Led to the one and only run of the game.

Great catches Steve. The second seems to have some jpeg compression but very good shot.

That second shot is fantastic! His facial expression and entire body language reveal that he's just realized that he's not going to get the ball. And how many times does a ball actually break through a glove? Amazing capture and my (Red Sox) hat is off to you.

Thanks. Looks much better. I did something similar before I sent it to a local paper.

Here is the semi-uncropped version. Which do you prefer or like better?

the wider crop shows the true story: wide throw but still got the force at 2nd.

Excellent Shots! Both are fantastic in their own way. At first glance of shot # 1 I thought - "why is this posted"? But the trail of dust from the low pitch is quite captivating.

Great captures on both shots!!!!

agree, #1 is nothing special without the dust trails but I love it with that element. The second just awesome. Arguably much tough than the bat on ball pics. Well done!

The second one is great, but as a baseball player I have to marvel in the fact that the batter in the first pitcher was not even looking at the pitch.

Full crop for sure, and agree with Matt - first one wouldn't probably make it but the second glove breaking is good. Had that happen a couple times before.
