Is that the result of a single shot?

Courierman, I think you mean bottom right.

Yeah, one shot - 15 seconds. It used to take me 15 minutes to get this sort of thing. This is on a tripod.
And there were a lot of (I guess) satellites going every which way.
The lens does have a bit of a coma problem wide open (f1.4), maybe that's your UFO.

Awesome shot, you've got some dark skies there.

It appears to be a satellite at the top right.

Blimey O Riley. I stacked nearly an hours worth of short subs a while ago and got nothing approaching this! 15 seconds...

great stuff... I don't think it would be possible here with a 1 min exposure.

You are lucky!

Very nice shot but thats not a horse neb altho it does resemble one . This is a very well know region East of Antares called the "Pipe Nebulea (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap020526.html)" and this closeup of the "Pipe Nebulea (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap090522.html)" . A Great dark nebulea area to photograph . One of the most popular is the Dark Snake Nebulea (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap050521.html) seen in this image . Something you might want to challenge yourselfs to .

Thanks for all the comments - here's another one from last week - 20sec, f1.4, iso2000 (Canon 50D, Sigma 30/1.4 on a tripod).

Cracking shots...I can't wait to try some more Milky Way wide-fields, and it's just coming back round again for me.

It's amazing what these lenses can grab though. First time I tried my 50mm f/1.8 I kept getting completely white images because I was way over-exposing, and this is an even faster lens. I've got a 35mm f/1.8 FD lens to try at some point, and would love to get hold of an even wider one. I even saw an f/0.95 lens once, but it wasn't suitable for my DSLR...was a night-vision lens or something. Shame.
