Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have some very precious pictures in a 256 MB, PQI. CF card on my Cnon S50. I was about to transfer these to my computer using Canonviewer and could see the images fine. Howver the camera froze and no images were transferred. Eventually, I switched the S50 off and the next time I switched it ON, it gave me a "memory card error" and "no Image". I do not care about the CF crd or the camera, but the pictures are precious and I need to recover them. I have tried reading the card at Longs as well as through a CF card reader on a computer without any luck. I even dowloaded a program to recover the images but it could not recover anything. It looks like the card has been corrupted and has lost its format ?
A new card worked fine in the camera, so the camera is working OK. Can anyone who experienced such a disaster please help me ? I do not want to take any further steps without good advice for teh fera of jeopardizing my chances of receovery.

I will really appreciate your time and effort.
