Finally! The S2-IS wasn't up to it, so I had to go old school... 35mm Ricoh XR Solar, Pentax 35-70 @ 35, T-Max 400, f/8 15 min. No batteries required thank you very much! I used a rubber band from an asparagus bundle to hold the shutter.

This is also from my first home-developed roll! Adorama dev & fix, scanned with my CanoScan 8800f (so Canon was involved here lol). I'll definitely try ISO 100 for this in the near future.

The view is from my front yard, and the bright one is Vega, of course. I'm so excited by this I feel 10 years old! :D

Isn't it fun to develop your own negatives and film? I got to do it when I was a student and teaching the astronomy night lab. My former prof handed me a Pentax K-1000 and several rolls of B/W film and told me to go have fun. Once he was certain I could get the rolls out of the canister without scratching them, and could develop properly, I was allowed to develop his astro exposures. It was such an awesome learning experience! Great pic, too, BTW! :D:D:D

Thanks, yes it was fun for me! I fumbled a little loading the spool in the dark and will try a couple of changes to my process but it was so thrilling just to see actual pictures when I pulled my film from the tank.
