Epson vs. HP Printers

I hear a lot about Epson printers, especially the 2200 model. Are there others on the market, especially HP, that produce the same or better quality prints?

Are prints from these machines good enough to sell as regular prints from a commerical lab?

I haven't seen an HP print that can compare to the Epson 2200 yet, but that doesn't mean it isn't out there (or comming soon).

In my opinion, yes you could sell the prints that the Epson 2200 makes if you are using the Epson Semigloss or Premium Lustre papers. My printer came with a little sample pack of prints made on all the new Epson papers. Maybe you can order that sample pack from somewhere?

eh I personally like epson(easier to refill) but hp is used by the government(us) LOL poor saps I feel real sympathy for them LOL you know what the latest printer they got at schools sucks I mean come on my home printer can print better; have you seen it it takes like 30 seconds to print some crappy thing at very low definition, they don't refill the cartridges even though it can be refilled as long as toner is avalible, the printers take up a lot of space, and lastly it takes like 3 minutes for the printer to recieve and spool the file talk about long and they are willing to wait for this crappy thing to come out LOL talk about saps

what are you searching for thats bringing up now 4 year old threads?

I have the 3800, worth considering because that price includes about $400 in free ink. Both color and B&W beat anything you could pay for to have printed custom. It's just amazing how great the quality is in glossy and matte.

Of all the printing costs, the only thing I think is a rip off is the various art, velvet, and high-end papers. They are all way way over priced. The quality is great, but it's still just pretty low-tech paper in the end.
