Hi all,

As some of you know, we shoot with the Canon Sx-IS cams, S3 & S5.

(The S3/TC, shot with the S5):

Some may also know that we shoot in Manual mode (for better or worse), and are comfortable doing so.

Since early this year I've also been setting and using Custom mode, to preset a fully manual mode which defaults to:
Full zoom
ISO 100
Spot Metering
Teleconverter IS - ON

Doing this, gives us quick access to full manual shooting with or without the TC, simply by toggling the mode wheel between these two adjacent Mode detents. We can mount, remove, or even swap the TC between cameras as needed and be shooting in seconds

So maybe a few will find this cool or useful. It works for us, and gives us faster setups for changing targets within our optimal focal range.

I think the basic UI is quite similar for most recent model Canons using Digic series processors. So some easy adaptation of this method should be trivially different on other cameras. I'd like to hear from any who've got other methods and/or tips for making best use of our cameras' versatile interfaces.

That's a nice looking setup, and you obviously get great results with it!
