Using my Tamron 28-75mm....at 2.8 do they look sharp?

Practicing focus with my new Tamron 28-75mm lens at 2.8. This is the sharpest on any of my lenses this wide opened I have ever come close too. Does it look sharp to you or is it me just wishful thinking? I usually shoot at 3.5 because I get major blur on any of my lenses if wider opened. I know the sidewalk is distracting and not very appealing but it was a last minute shoot and we just stepped outside where there was shade. :) Any c&c appreciated and welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Thank you! No strobes..just natural light. It was about 4pm in the shade.

I have this same lens and love it. My only criticism of your pics is that the sidewalk is distracting (as you pointed out) maybe a little lower POV and the background would have been a nice out of focus green. Your daughter is very cute and has great eyes.
