Question about CPL filter

Hi,

since a short time a use a Hoya pro1 digital CPL Filter on my sigma 10-20mm.. i'm very happy with it and think it improves the quality of my pictures.
But i've got a question about it and i need some opinions:

Is it best to fully polarize images?

i've tried a dozen times at fully polarized, half and none in different photographic conditions (read: light)
But i can't seem to choose which looks most realistic and would like to know what you think about it and experience?

Choose what you think makes that particular picture look best. There are even going to be times when you'll get best results by removing the polarizer.
