As a relative new comer to digital photographt printing, may I ask if there a relatively simple solution to achieving the correct colour balance on the printed pictures. When prining in draft onto plain paper from photshop or other applications the colour balanmce seems fine but as soon as I change to print higher quality pcitures on eoither matt or glossy paper the colour balance gets very wrong.
The attached doc shows the same picture scanned back in after being printed in draft and in higher quality and illustrates the problem.
The strange thing is that this is a recent problem and I can not identify anything that has changed.

you might want to check out the sticky thread at the top of the this forum. it's titled canon icc profile guide. it has some very good information on matching color from screen to print.
also, check your ink cartridge installation and make sure the inks are installed at the right slots. i have had one of those really drastic color mismatch eipsodes due to carelessly popping in ink cartridges.
