Plan on going to shuttle launch

I am planning on going to the next shuttle launch. The longest lens I have is a 75-300mm 4-5.6 IS. I have thought of renting a lens for the trip. Any othe suggestions would be awesome.

Get a bigger lens. Seriously.

Watch this video and look at the guy on the bottom right when he takes his off the tripod. This is what you need as you will be 3 miles away.

I am looking at going in November for the Atlantis Launch or February for Endeavor.
