Here's some shots from this weekend. Wake surfing:tup:
Had all of the weight on one side of the boat for maximum wake on that side

2 If you don't know how it works, they start with the rope, and get up like a wakeboarder would. Then pull themselves in close to the boat, and throw the rope on board

5 Even though they were pretty close to the prop, I they don't really get close to it when they go under since the boat is moving faster than them.

6 At one point we tried wake boogie boarding

7 Favorite shot from the weekend:

And I was standing on the bottom platform of the boat, off the back of it, like 4 inches off the water, 1 foot above the prop- Here's the only real photo I have showing where I was. I had one person holding on to my arm in attempt to prevent me from falling in...pretty risking shots but I'm happy with them: )

nice shots jimmy. just remember that forum rules say only 8 shots can be posted per thread unless asked for more.. sp I would just advise you to take down a couple and only post the ones that you think are the best/most important.

Nice shots Jimmy, is that a Centurian your riding in?

That kid looks so stoked in the 2nd shot, I love it! 4th is sweet too, I like the composition just a shame your subject is a tad dark. Horizon is off a little too but I think with a bit of PP you could make that look really nice.

Sweet stuff man. 7 is great, the droplets of water really add to how close to the action you are, plus nice lighting, good action and good background=great photo.

Really enjoyed #3 and #7. The others are sorta sap shottish.....But I can appreciate the efforts you went through to grab the ones you did!

I wanted to get a varied set of images, posting the strongest form each angle. I have a ton of silhouette photos as well as up close and personal action ones, but I wanted to post as many different angles and view points as I could.

Shot with my 24-70 2.8 on a 5D

Hey Jimmy,
Where in Washington State did you take these photos? We live in SW Washington. We have been out twice but the water has been too cold. Hopefully we will get into the water today.
Nice photos. But you might want in invest in a surf rope. :)

I don't think any of them are 'bad'. The 5D makes everything good look even better
