To me they look like painted turtles, but they may be called something else where you are. It looks like the sun was overhead and harsh. I don't really like the extreme blown highlights on their shells or the extreme vignetting you applied. The turtles don't seem to fit in the crop you made. Consider a wider crop to let the turtles breathe with less on top and bottom.
