What are the most important things to know about food photography? I've spent a lot of time looking through pretty cook books and magazines and now a friend has asked me to help out and do a food shoot. I have no experience in that area, but have agreed to give it my best and see if we can make it work. Anything I should think about in writing up a contract or doing a quote?

1) Don't be hungry
2) Know what makes you queezy
3) Sneezing is frowned upon
4) The food always tastes better PRIOR to shoot than AFTER
5) Time really does melt ice cream
6) Time really coagulates fatty substances
7) Salt and pepper does not make the picture better...
