This was shot in near darkness, with very patchy lighting, I was aiming to capture the mood and the dramatic lighting. In this ceremony the engagement ring is presented to the bride to be at a formal event.....the groom's to be are usually very nervous (understandably) and this is what i wanted to capture.

apologies for the watermark, but once bitten....twice shy.

Would appreciate feedback and comments.

I'm not able to understand this photo. It looks like a posed photo of a man's hands with a ring and a cloth. Was this supposed to be during the ceremony? I am unable to see the sense of space about this photo.

The ring is small ( compared to everything else), I wonder what it would look like without the huge foreground hand in the way?

that's a different view, it's certainly something I'll consider for next time.

The way I shot it was to show the ring in context, i.e. it's a small part of the ceremony by keeping it in focus I wanted to show it's importance, i.e. very high. lonliness and importance are key themes for me........
