The pictures in this set were taken at a pageant put on by my old University's Vietnamese Student Association to raise money for charity, blah blah blah. Anyways, it was a nice opportunity for me to go take pictures I don't typically take. Anyways, here they are...

And about the settings I used and lighting (or lack thereof).
All of the pictures were shot through the 70-200 f/2.8 L IS on a 300D with ISO 800, f/2.8, 1/100s, no flash... the lighting was less than desireable, and I didn't like the effect my 580EX had on the photos I took of the rehearsal the night before, so I had to compromise. With those settings I used, most of the pictures were underexposed by 1 to 2 stops, thank goodness for shooting in RAW mode. I ran all of the images through Noise Ninja with an 'normal' setting for that ISO on my camera. Other than that, I only adjusted the curves a bit, and added a small amount of sharpening.
Any comments, critiques, and/or suggestions are welcome. If you look at the photos I took at the pageant the year before (http://photography.tofuboy.net/Hoa_Khoi_2004/)... you'll see the difference a year of practicing/learning and a better lens can make :)
Oh, and I haven't posted in a while... so, Hi again :)
