I'm having an increasingly difficult time finding CF cards, is anyone else?

Local stores usually had a selection, now they'll likely have only one or two and usually not the capacity I like to use.

SD cards are all over the place.

I tend to get my memory at places other than camera stores (like tigerdirect) since they generally have better prices and more selection, so I haven't had a problem.

Yeah, thanks. I generally buy online, too, but I like to check what's available when I'm in a shop in case I need one NOW.

I agree with the OP ... here in Canada the big box stores (Wally, etc.) have stopped carrying them, perhaps because almost all the point and shoots now are SD.

Its the same around here. I have been looking for a few that last few days. 4 gig is the biggest I can find and I want 2 16gigs as back up for a trip this week, So I dont have time to order them.

Where in Maryland? Tried MicroCenter or Penn Camera?

Watch for sales at B&H and Adorama. That's where I get mine. There doens't seem to be a problem with supply. If there were, there wouldn't be any sales.

IM actually headed back there tonight. Last time I was in Micro Center they only had 3 4 gig cards in the store. This will be my last attempt as I leave the country in the morning.

If you're going to the Micro Center in Rockville, check the Penn Camera in the same mall, too . . . I usually order well in advance.

Just checked their web site - the Rockville store has 28 8 GB Ultra IIs in stock.
