"Smolovich, who was carrying a Canon 5D with a 16X35 lense, was looking down when he crossed the street near 14th Ave.,"
Pretty soon we'll see street signs that read: "DO NOT CROSS STREET WHILE CHIMPING". And then after some (insert adj here) lawyer determines that he or she can sue Canon (class-action suit anybody?) for not warning us photographers about the dangers of chimping, we are going to start seeing and buying cameras with mandatory big white labels that read:
TOG GENERAL'S WARNING
"Chimping Causes Addiction, Distraction Disorder, And Sometimes Death. May Complicate Pregnancy."
And.... what is a "16x35" lens?

And.... what is a "16x35" lens?
And what is a lense?
I expect journos to be crap at many things, but I would have thought being able to spell would be near the top of the list of requirements for the job.

This is terrible however. At what age do you learn to look both ways? Seriously, I am saddened by this horrific event...but come on!

It wasn't immediately clear who Smolovich worked for.
Read more: "Photographer Matthew Smolovich, 25, struck and killed by bus in Brooklyn's Borough Park" - http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/brooklyn/2009/05/26/2009-05-26_photographer_.html#ixzz0GiiAWdJl&A
So...what does that mean? The last line never goes into detail about who he did work for...are they that bad?:lol:
Another thing about the article; what were under 3 year old children doing on a school bus???

So sad....I get so easily distracted. But, looking both ways before crossing the street is a must!!

I went WTF too, so I Googled it...someone on PhotoCamel was describing their lens this way.
I think they meant the EF 16-35 2.8 L USM...
"16x35":rolleyes:
