Nice little collection of photos. I particularly like the one of your wife (very pretty lady). I find the composition and DOF very pleasing to look at, not to mention her lovely smile. The Paris shot shows some interesting light play. From what I see you are off to a great start with the XT.

I really enjoy the XT. This is my first attempt at taking photos, I have always tooled around with my sony cybershot- It was actually the XT which made me think more about taking photos.
The price point is great, I researched alot and found it was better to buy the XT and a nice lens than go for the 20D. Especially for a new comer.
