I think the flash is too little harsh, maybe something more diffused or less straight on might lessen the starkness. Color balance on the wood seems strange. A smaller aperture would also be nice so all of the letters are in focus. Back to the letters, a better angle so you can see the rest of the name might help. The predominate out of focus foreground is kinda distracting.
The image or feel of the image doesn't say old to me and if the viewer doesn't know the name Baldwin, they wouldn't know it's a piano without your title.
It's your photo and composition, what was your intention on the pic? Why do you like it? There's no true wrong or right, just opinions; unless you have a paying client.

Flash or no, the light seems direct and harsh. You can see the strong highlights on the top corner of the foreground and shadows under the name plate. Sorry for assuming flash but the results are the same.
What was your intent for image? Most people either visualise an image or a feel/reaction. Some just want to document the moment. There was something that caused you to take the photo right?
Knowing what you intend for the photo will help you figure out the right technique.
