Hey Chunli!
Interesting concept.
If you replaced the tissue box with something a little more interesting, or dashboard oriented, i think it would enhance the effect you are creating.
I must say, quite like this one. (But isn't it 2:14?)

In my opinion this is the worst picture I have seen from you by a mile. To me, it looks like a snap by someone messing with the camera.
I appreciate that others may see beauty or thought behind it, but I can't see any aspect I like - sorry.

Thank you SAB_Click for expressing your honest opinion on the matter.
Over the years I have taken many pics. Some depicted pics here were recent takes while some were old. I study..... my styles, preferences and its presentation have changed over the years. I find some of my recent works may be more technically competent in many respects but I personally feel I have lost that spontaneity and the creativity to take interesting pics. I have intentionally posted some old and some new works which were taken in many different lighting conditions with many limitations and constraints to receive feedback and comments so that I can made comparisons of my works in search of better photography and to find out what my current target audiences like and dislike.
I appreciate your feedback and others too as I find this will eventually guide me to better photography.
Thank you all.
Cheers

Doesn't look like a "snap" to me at all. I like the curves - carries the eye in and through the shot very effectively. It's impressively sharp (at least at the size posted) for a shot from a moving car in dark conditions. Exposure's also about as good as I could imagine in the circumstances, though the blown highlights aren't really my thing. And the tissue box and clock are an effective, somewhat subtle, and interesting way to indicate the "local context". I rather like it.

I've tried again and am really struggling to see it.
Until you realise it isn't, the 5:14 looks like one of those horrible date/time stamps that some cameras can put onto your photograph. There's nothing of the car showing.... that's fine (is it?) ..as it is obvious that you are in a car. The tissue box is only a tissue box after someone tells you that it is.
Chunli - I appreciate the length and the quality of your reply to my last post and thank you for taking the time to post. I personally would be interested to see the EXIF for this image if you are prepared to share it - I would also seek your permission to play around with the concept at some point in the future if you didn't see it as wrong.
I think the fact that this picture provokes such opposite views amongst people is obviously interesting and says something.

This was executed very nicely IMO, and very creative with a simple twist to it. When I first looked at this picture, My eyes literally lit up because it gave me that kid feeling of going through a tunnel while showing the numbers through the window glare. The simple numbers hitting the tunnel made me feel 10-15 years younger.
I dunno, but thats just me. Very nice Job.

Thank you all for taking time to share your thoughts with me on this pic.
I did not answered RMXSeven question initially about the time because I cannot find the original pic to blow it bigger to confirm. So this evening, I was in the same car and I look at the time again...... and from the reflection on the windscreen...... I can confirm now RMXSeven is right on the time..... it should be 2:14. hahaha.....Good observation and sense of orientation.
This pic..... from my recollection was taken last year. My minister of home affair was driving me to the mall as I wanted to take some pics.........as we entered the tunnel, I quickly grabbed the camera wanting to shot the time (green light reflected on the windscreen) and the overhead light with respect to the car in front of us, the road marking and the tunnel wall cladding. They all converged and curves to the egress of the tunnel.
To be honest, I actually wanted to get the road marking to be in complete full lines to match the overhead lights and the wall cladding all converging and curves to the egress of the tunnel with that distant car closer....... but I have failed. The shutter speed I have selected was inappropriated. hahaha....I did not pay attention to the tissue box will be captured (it should not be in the frame) as I was trying hard to frame the whole scene, the time and the car in front as best as I can. I was disappointed with my result.....
This is my 1st pic of a tunnel subject and I like how the lead in lines draw my focus to the exit. Later, I chanced upon a pseudo HDR plug in and I enhanced and increased the dynamic range of the pic and bleech pass with another plug in to add some colour to it..... else it is near to B&W with poor graduation in tonality. The enhanced circular rings of the segmental culvert liners add some interest to the frame after the processing.
I share this pic with my friends too and they have mixed reactions about it. The same comments I have received as above.....hahaha. Yes, this is not my best but I have kept this web version to remind me this is my 1st shot of a tunnel as I was driving thru.....

ok, let me try to locate the original and if I find it I will email it to you so that you can play around with it as I am open to suggestion.
From your feedback, you have just triggered my desire to capture again a tunnel shot from a different perseptive and in a different light........I have one in mind already. I will post when I have captured it and I sincerely look forward to have your input.
Many thanks once again to all of you for the feedback.
Cheers
