These are beautiful pictures! I love the contrast between the pink tutu and the blue chair, those are my favorites! Too bad I have boys, otherwise I would pull the tutus out and my sewing strategies for sure!!

I really like these, but the background is too busy. Try and position yourself where the background won't be as distracting. That chair is awesome, and the twins are cuties.

Thanks everyone. My nieces are such cuties. hehe My hubby and I actually had a field with higher grass picked out but when my sister in law saw it she said there was no way the twins could step in it. I was bummed because there was this great fallen tree trunk that would have been amazing. Oh well. I can't wait til we have our own kids to bring there. :)

I absolutely LOVE the contrast between the pink tutu's and the blue chair... GREAT Choices!!!

I hope to do something similar with my own daughter this summer... I was going to try to redo the chair in dark purple but that blue is looking really tempting. Just lovely... I love your creative location choices... LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

I think these are great - I just wish they had more eye contact with the camera ... you can tell where mom or dad were standing in every photo. I think it works for the first one though :)

Cute kids and nice contrast between the tutus and the chair. If you dont mind a suggestion, I think you have too much background and it's too distracting. Get closer and shoot to throw the background out of focus so the emphasis is on the subject.

The shots are cute and the twins are adorable!I do agree that you should shoot closer in or even crop some of the background off of some of these to focus more on the girls.I noticed in a few of the pics it almost looked like your ISO was up to high, as the background has a bit of a noisy look to it, especially on #'s 2 and 4. Your exif info says you were shooting with a shutter speed of only 1/32 with ISO of 800. The shutter speed seems awfully low and the ISO a bit too high (for having 1/32 shutter speed and being outside). I try not to get below 1/100 shutter speed if all possible, and keep the ISO as low as possible, without the pics being too dark of course (sometimes you just gotta do, what you gotta do ). I was just curious after seeing your exif info if these were shot while it was starting to get dark?

Thanks again for the cc and compliments. I do tend to have a problem with my high ISO. :( This time in particular, I had originally picked out an amazing location but my sister in law deemed it unsafe. So, by the time we found this place it was 30 min before sunset. As for the twins not looking at the camera and the background being busy, I chose those to share those 6 shots in particular because you get a feel for the location, which I think was pretty awesome for just finding it last minute. Here's one of my niece looking (with a ghost hand) and another of her close up. :) Thanks again! Still learning. So hard to get them both looking and smiling at the same time. haha

the one with the ghost hand as you say, i think you should crop that one in closer as a face shot. Her face looks so cute in that one. And once it starts getting dark, its hard to keep a well lit photo. I figured that was why your iso was up so much and your shutter down so low.

My favourites are 3 & 4 they look like they are having fun, very natural. What a great location and I love the blue arm chair outside, great idea.

I love the chair!

I really like the style, lighting and poses!! The location and chair are off the hook!! The only nit and it is small is I would like the person they are looking at to be closer to camera center to bring their eyes inline with the direction of the poses and chair.

100% better than most of the stuff we see here,

HAHAHAHA Thank you! We actually didn't know they were identical....but they kept looking more and more alike to the point only my sister-in-law could tell them a part. I bet they will play lots of tricks on us over the years.
