"When life gives you fog, you make HDR." - Matt Moore (uttered about a week ago while freezing his nips off )

There was fog on the GGB all day, everyday I was there. And the odd cold front didn't help too much either!

Wow!

I quite like this HDR.
My only issue is the lights on the far left are a little too out of focus, and it's a bit of a distraction for me.

Nicely done!

^Agreed on both counts. It's a great shot and would be better cropped just to the left of the second set of lights.

I commented on Flickr on your photo.

Today is the Golden Gate Bridge's birthday, so was yesterday.

Oh, never mind, I guess I didn't.

I did see it there, though.

I like the length, so I don't wanna crop it.

I got rid of the distracting light though.

How does it look now (replaced photo on OP)?

Thanks all.

That's heaps better!
It is still a little too OOF for me on the left.
In the interest of symmetry, I would remove the light on the otherside, as that's the next biggest distraction.

Great job!

Great shot. My only gripes are the color banding from the light on the top of the bridge, which may just be JPG artifacts, and the fact that the focus changes so dramatically towards the left edge of the photo. I'd like to see it a bit more in focus - not sharp, but what it looks like right now is that it was run over with a gaussian blur or something. Looks a bit out of place.

Looks great. Not sure about the left side of the pic. Aside from the HDR what else did you do to this photo in post processing?

Kinda looks like a tilt shift miniature to me. I dig the HDR on this one.

I hope the banding (stated by OdiN) is not part of the full size. That's the only downfall. If it is noticeable in the full size, you can always motion or radial blur that section on a dup layer. I do it all the time.

I appreciate the feedback.

I've replace the OP picture with an updated version.

- Less pronounced blur on the left
- worked on banding issues

Great image. I was at that same exact location on vacation a few days ago.

One thing I think might be able to improve this is to bring some fog into the right side so that instead of the bridge leading somewhere, it just trails off into fog, or nothing.

Right now the eye is led to the end of the bridge, and it follows that out of the picture.

The bright(er) blue of the sky also may help draw the eye toward here.

I really do like this HDR, because it doesn't punch me in the face and leave a mark on my forehead that says "THIS PICTURE IS AN HDR PICTURE"
