Hey everyone. I have a great yellow lab, and she is 12 years old. She is getting up there. I want to get some good shots of her before she is no longer with us. We got a cat recently, she is only three, but she seems to keep my dog young! They play around together.

C+C welcome and appreciated, as well as any suggestions.

Thanks!

Rozwell (Rozzie): All of these were taken with a 70-200 2.8 with a 1.4x T-con attached.

These are nice shots. The only suggestion I would make would be to keep your eye on the background. Your gorgeous dog isn't set off well by the stuff behind her.

these are great! Which lens do you use? I am trying to find myself a new lens for my canon rebel xsi and I am currently a new beginner on photography.

I think these were all with the 70-200 2.8 IS L

EDIT: That picture of my dog in the snow was shot with a Tamron 70-300 MACRO

They are really nice sharp shots. Your Lab still looks good for it's age.

I agree with the backgrounds. I really like the snow shot though:)

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions! I'll try to shoot them with some more pleasing backgrounds.

I love pets shots. I would echo what jgrussel said , get buddy dog out in the grass with a nice background. Take his collar off too.

Try some black and white edits too, there nice.

Thanks for sharing ,
