tele converter or extention tubes?

I would like a 600mm, but it's out of the question. I like to photograph nature. Should I get tele converter or tubes. If so which converter 1.4x or 2x. I would be using it on my 70-200. Thanks for any input.:lol:

The 2x TC would give you 140-400mm at f5.6 (2 stops loss). Still short of your desired 600mm. You could consider the Kenko Pro 300 3x which would give you up to 600mm at f8, however, only in manual focus.

Extension tubes don't give you a longer focal length, they just allow you to focus closer, hence they are used for macro purposes.
