Hi
Bought the following lenses last week:
16-35mm F2.8 L
50mm F1.4 (Posted an issue i'm having with that)
85mm 1.8
Thought long and hard about the 17-40 but i wanted the extra stop.
Next lens will be the 70-200 2.8 IS
I like steet photography, portrait, landscape.
Thought the above would cover me well, be a while until i can get the 70-200
you guys over the pond would faint at the price lenses cost here:eyes

You may want to consider the 70-200mm f4 L lens. Due to its smaller size, it's ideal for people on the street photography. I picked a mint s/h up through this forum's market place for £300 plus postage.
Cheapest lens prices I've found in the UK are from 7dayshop.

Yeah i checked 7 day out. I was thinking of getting the 24-70 in place of the 16-35 and 50 but it was just to heavy for a walk about lens for me.
The F4 version of the 70-200 would be ok for outdoor work in decent light but it's going to struggle with available light, that's my only issue with it.
But that's way off to be honest, jessops took me to the cleaners!!

If your budget allows you to afford, then go for 70-200mm IS f2.8L. Though much heavier than its f4 sister, it is more versatile in low light and on overcast days.

Thats just what i was thinking raylks. I've seen them both togather i realise the weight difference, not to mention the price!! I think i'll bag it in the states, so much cheaper overe there

Not surprising, they have a tendency to do that. Nice lens selection.

Yeah i actually got a better price match on my compact of them then i did for all 3 lenses. £90 pound saved!!
But i think the 50 has a fault and i just like having a human face to deal with for such issues.
