Took this last week in Moab. I was out 4-wheeling and had only one day to do photos. I chose to do sunset at Delicate Arch. It could have been a better sunset, was cloudy and blocked the real good red light on the rocks, etc. but the sky cleared just enough to come up with this. What do you think?

The sky and background are beautiful. The detail in the background is really, really nice.

I'm trying to decide on the foreground. There are a lot of shadows, which kind of takes away from the image, but a tighter crop would not do the photo justice...

The arch itself is awesome! I love that it serves as a window for the mountains behind it. I would be proud to have taken this photograph!

agreed... too bad about the shadows. Otherwise it's a beaut'!

really like the cloud/background mountain range/forground angles in relation to one another

Yeah I'm kinda torn on the shadows - I have some without - but the background isn't nearly as good.

I may cheat - take the lower part from another shot without shadows, and put it in lol.

in lightroom i would just use the brush tool and try a -1 stop setting and see if whisking it away or at least reducing it's appearance helps any...

Here is an edit. You can still see a bit of the line, but I'm getting some help on that.

I think I do like it better.

I guess I went at the wrong time of year for this photo, but I was there anyway so :)

haha, yeah, to each their own. I don't think it would make a calender WITH - but anyways, great edit... looks brilliant.

It will make a calendar.

Because I'm going to print my own for some gifts this Christmas lol....and probably will include this one.

I think its a great shot....crop crop crop.....at least playing with the crop will give you a better idea of what you can get if you want to play around....
