Hey all, I have been approached by a fairly big landscaping company to take some photos of their work. They will be using it on their website, and maybe some flyers/other promotional material. I think its mostly custom pools and backyards, my question is how would you charge for that? hourly? per property? I'm kind of lost.

Per hour. Remember you have to include travel costs and time, equipment costs, and general business expenses in your cost. If you want to make a real profit you'll probably have to be at absolute min $50 and you'll probably still be losing money. $100/h is probably more realistic. They'll probably say no and do it themselves with a point and shoot camera.

I told them (depending on the number of properties) around $300 and that's a ballpark estimate assuming 3-5 properties, not including travel costs. They seemed pretty happy about it, do you guys think that's a reasonable price? I would pretty much be going in (maybe) setting up a light or two taking a few photos and driving to the next.

It's impossible for anyone to really say, Chris. It's dependent on what tim said, your creative fee (value of your work) and then there is your time and transport. Try to get them to show you around the properties; that handles your transport off the bat. Also gives them a chance to talk about the properties and show you around.
