I don't think softness is an issue here. White balance looks good.

The lighting is flat, and there is little to no emotion in the shot. Having her look so far to camera left is causing her eyes to have a slight cross-eyed look as well.

Eyes look sharp to me.

I like it. I like the DOF.

If I had to say something critical, I think perhaps her left eye (camera right) looks a bit uncomfortable being rolled up so far. It also is cropped a tiny bit tight for my taste.
