wireless flash 420speedlite and 20D

I recently bought a custom bracket and am stuck trying to get the camera and flash to communicate with each other since the flash is no longer mounted on the shoe of the camera. Does anyone know how to set up the wireless flash mode? I know it can be done because the manual says it can. Unfortunately the manual does not give any instructions on how to do it. I checked the manual on the camera and the flash with no luck. Any suggestions on how to do it or an internet site that might have more detailed instructions? Any imput will be helpful. Thanks!

The 420EX will work wireless as a slave from another flash such as the 550EX or 580EX or ST-E2 Transmitter, but not from the camera directly.
What you can use with your bracket is "Canons Off Camera Shoe 2".

Not wireless, but probably the best and easiest way to go.
