http://photography-on-the.net/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif wireless flash 420speedlite and 20D
I recently bought a custom bracket and am stuck trying to get the camera and flash to communicate with each other since the flash is no longer mounted on the shoe of the camera. Does anyone know how to set up the wireless flash mode? I know it can be done because the manual says it can. Unfortunately the manual does not give any instructions on how to do it. I checked the manual on the camera and the flash with no luck. Any suggestions on how to do it or an internet site that might have more detailed instructions? Any imput will be helpful. Thanks!

you'd need a transmitter like the STE-2 or a 550 or a 580EX to wirelessly trigger the 420. It would be cheaper to get an off-camera TTL cord.

Just to be sure you get the "Off The Shoe Cord 2". That's the only cord that will work with ETTL. The on camera flash will not work as a wireless transmitter.
