I am using the D60 to photograph products of various colors and textures. The Studio lighting is fine but the colors all seem to come out with a yellow under tone. I have tred to set the white balance and with even a worse out come. Any suggestions on how to clean this probem up are greatly appreciated.

I have the same thing happen when I shoot in studio. What I do is set the white balance to sunshine setting. This gets me much closer however your balance may go a little blue.

good luck!

After many trial sessions, I now only shoot in RAW mode with studio lighting. Using the same basic setup and studio lights, a gray card or other white balance color object can be selected as the white balance source - even after a photo session - and adjusted in Breeze Browser or other RAW conversion software.

for $14 buy a gray card...it will change your life...

take shot...fill the viewfinder with the card...then use it as your custom white balance reference....

B&H/Kodak grey card (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bh3.sph/FrameWork.class?FNC=ProductActivator__Aproductlist _html___27715___KOGC___REG___CatID=0___SID=F33B68D 5F00)

i've been using it with a studio strobe and simply can't believe the beautiful, natural skin tones from the D-60 (let alone that all of the shots look the same...no screwed up auto white balance yellows or blues)

i've noticed it's out of stock at b&h...but keep looking. your local camera store may have one...trust me...you won't be disappointed :)

If you happen to have the National Geographic Photography Field Guide, it has gray cards inside the front and back covers.
