Maybe you were expecting something else? This is a weathered pier walkway where I found a nail with various fungi growing around it. Obviously there is a canopy of cypress trees contributing needles to the collage as well. I think it has potential but I think it needs tweaking. Does it need cropping to confine the subject area, or what? -Tom

I triede a crop & decided that I wanted to keep the wood at the perimeter, so just burned it in a bit & added a little sharpening. See what you think. Here it looks as if I might have burned it in a touch too much. ;-)

Thank you, "Exposing Myself". And to "Photosguy", I really can't tell too much was done.....one of the problems is that the resolution on these pics are so low that you really can't see subtle changes. Thanks for any comments, though. I continue to welcome suggestions to try. =Tom

Hi Tom,

You need to add a little more saturation. Also the image is a little over exposed. I added a little saturation to bring out some of the colors in the bark, and applied a little sharpening. There is a slight blue cast in the bark which I should have removed.
