my boys took a beating from a very good Carolina team that featured 5 players that were on Cleveland's club last season as well as the coach. Lighting changed dramatically as we went from very high ambient shutter speeds to flash by the end of the game. here's a few shots since I haven't posted many lately. hope you like. exif should be intact

1. not usually inot the b/w for sports but I liked this pre game shot

Hey Scott,

#6 is outstanding! Great timing. Are you shooting for the team or are you there independently?

richbindiansI knew only Cleveland fans would still be up. I'm so stoked on the Cavs win I can't sleep!

Thanks for the kindness man. To answer your question, I shoot for the team.

Those flashed shots are pretty good. May I ask how you went about shooting flashed? I'm guessing head on with the flash on a bracket a bit above or a bit below?

Thanks all. The flashed shots do show some motion still which is unfortunate but the lighting in there is actually too good if you can believe that. By that I mean, it's tough to get the little flash to overcome ambient enough to completely freeze things. As for setup, I attach the flash to a Bogen HD flex arm and superclamp it to the monopod just below the camera. The beauty of it is that I can still switch camera orientation using the tripod collar this way. The flex arm/flash is positioned about a foot or so above the camera doing this. Hope that helps, if not, post back.

I thought it would be that. It definitely seems to work well!
