Hi,
I just thought i would share a few photos that i took of a amazing model that was displayed at my RC club's float fly this past saturday. The only details i can share is that its 8ft long and wieghs in around 110 pounds and took 6 months for the ower to build from the kit here :

I also took some video shown here. http://www.youtube.com/user/HCRCMFlying
the squal video is a must see, due to the sudden wind it got wild toward the end and almost tossed my camera overboard.
I will post more photos on request. or you can find wallpaper quality copies here:

at the event gallery. thanks for looking

I watched the movie and that is one nifty ship. I have just two critiques for the photos though- #1 has a little too much dead space, especially the hazy sky--I would crop the picture a little tighters. #2, I really like the ship, but the flowers are really bugging me- there's nothing you can really do about that except watch out for it next time.
I wish you could have gotten a picture of it really up close. I see the crewman and think it would be a super picture if we could get a lot of detail of the model.
I'm sure you're already told the guy who made it, but tell him again that it is a super cool ship.

Mike, great shots!!

I love the video! I did not know that they actually had RC sailboats.

Live and learn!

thanks, theres is about rc anything you want if you want. compared to the crazy aerobatics i fly withthe one in my avatar my rc sailing is done with a 1/4 scale Laser, the fun for me is the science of how sailing works. if you want check out this thread

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=520465

it shows a few builds of these ships, the person named Paratrooper is the one who came to my event,, just seeing your in MN i beleave there is a gathering of these ships planned for september up there it may be a fun photo opertunity for you. i dont know the details but if you ask in the ship thread im sure they will tell you.. oh i am pitviper51 on that forum. the rc world is just as complex as our camera stuff at times. check it out you might like it.
