Hey, so i've been wanting to go out and try taking a good photo of my cities downtown skyline, i was just wondering if anyone had any tips or things i should make sure i do when shooting.

Manual Mode, Iso 100.. Use tripod..
Normally shoot between f4.5-f8.. Shutter remote release.. thats about it

Heres one shot i took recently.. Nothing special.. But hope it helps :)
EXIF data should be intact..

Here is my cityscape shot. I did 200 iso with like 30 seconds at f12 I believe. If I had to do it all over, I would have put the horizon higher to show more water and shot at 50 iso

A few months ago here in Seattle.. POS tripod, my 40d, EF28-135mm lens, F/4.0, ISO 100, for 1 - 2 seconds..

Here is one I took of Providence! I don't remember my settings, but its important to keep the ISO at a low setting.
