Hey gang,
I read the other night in a post that someone said you could program special higher shutter speeds into a G6 other than whatr it can do now is this true and how do you do it?

Bah! That would require a firmware update/hack.

What's wrong, 1/2000 second not fast enough for ya ;)

Yes it would be a firmware hack.... and you also void ANY warrantys you may have

A firmware hack is unlikely until Canon releases a firmware update. Though I'd be quite interested if there were one.

I'm not aware of any way to circumvent the max/min shutter speeds. The only 'programmable' settings I know of are the C1 and C2 modes, where you can save specific shutter, aperture, etc., but those don't allow you to exceed the limits of the other modes.
