Sort of related to my other thread, but I felt it was different enough to warrant a new thread.
How many versions of a picture do you save?
For example, for the average picture which doesn't need re-edits but may have a few layers I usually have:
1) The original RAW (~25 Mb)
2) The full size 16-bit TIFF with all the layers (could vary anywhere from 130 Mb to about 800 Mb for the more intricate ones)
3) The websized JPEG (~2 Mb)
4) And optionally the printsized JPEG (~4-8 Mb)
Well, I figured that this is going to eat my space up very quickly... Since starting with photography in January, my pictures folder is already at almost 50 Gb. So what do you guys do? Do you keep as many versions and how do you store them?
