Hello, all. My name is Jeff and as you can tell by my post count, I'm pretty new around here. About a week ago I posted a question (back on this link: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=68950) asking for advice on how to shoot Superbike motorcycles. I got all kinds of great advice. Here are a few samples of some of my better shots, taken at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama on April 23. These were all taken with my Canon EOS 20D and Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 lens. The camera was set to shutter priority mode using 1/250 shutter speed and an ISO setting of 400. I selected the center focus point only and I let the camera do the focusing using AI Servo mode. I understand now what everybody meant when they said "practice panning and follow through"! Anyway, for what they're worth, here they are:

Naturally, any comments or constructive criticisms are welcome. And thanks again to everybody who posted advice!

Cheers, -Jeff

I'd say that you are off to a very good start. You get extra points from me for the photo of Miguel Duhamel #17. I gotta root for the old guys.

Thanks. Yeah, Miguel's the man. Well, him & Jake Zemke (can you tell I'm a Honda guy?) I also root for Neil Hodgson and the Ducs. It's funny how you can hear the Ducatis coming from a mile away!

Some excellent shots there, I would really like to make it to one of those races someday. For now I'll have to settle for speedvision.

Honda man huh.....Sorry to hear that! LOL Just kidding!

I've been rooting for Mladin since he was on the SRAD 750. It must have been painfull for you guys to watch the Honda boys get their a$$es handed to then this weekend. It sure was wierd to see them dealing with mechanical problems. Zemke is a great guy to watch. I really enjoyed watching him fight to get his first Superbike win last season. While I think the addition of Hodgson to the paddock is great...I don't think anybody will be able to touch Mladin. I'm happy that Jason Pridmore and Steve Rapp are riding for the Jumpman 23 team. Montez Stewart just didn't have what it takes...

Anyway.....Keep up the good work! I love shooting AMA. I can't wait for them to come back to PPIR this year.
