Does anyone have a recommendation for a dye sublimation printer? I am currently using an Epson 1270 with a D30 and 1D. I have had an Epson 2200 0n order for 8 weeks and am about to give up on it.

I use an Olympus P-400. It prints an 8X10 in about 90 seconds on my computers. I like the color and the surface finish a lot. The prints look like traditional photos on glossy paper and not computer output. The cost for media is about $1.6 per sheet (regardless of image size on the sheet). If I don't use it for a while, or transport it to a job, the first print is usually no good due to accumulated dust, but after the first one it cleans up. You also lose the occassional print due to ribbon defects. Other than this waste (which is only a few sheets per 100) I have no complaints about it. I would buy one again when it dies.

I would add a second vote for that Olympus P-400. It's recently had a big price reduction too so I think you can pick them up now for around $400. The cost per print is a little high and the processing time a little long, but the output always looks great. Keep in mind though that it cannot do an actual 8x10 but rather 9.xxx if that matters to you.
