Well, we have had the Palmer Audi and Ferrari folks, but there were other makes racing over the two days. Not to be outdone the VW Cup races were excellent, with their own 'moments'. Here are a couple of shots from the day:
This 'slight' damage happened early on in the race and he continued to the end. You may notice that one of his sponsors makes high precision components, pity they didn't have a high precision driver:

These two had a battle for the win over most of the race. Oh, the leading car is an R32 4WD. It was this close virtually every lap:

Nice shots Ken. Do they still have the diesel vans competing this year?

One of the wildest and most entertaining races I ever watched was a Bilstein Cup race many years ago at Laguna Seca. These were all Volkswage Rabbits (Golfs?), and they were turning faster laps than some of the fastest members of the Porsche Club had turned during time trials just the week before, and they were doing it in traffic!!
Scary.

Great photos. These guys must be a hoot to watch. Looks like #41 had been doing some "agricultural racing." ;-)

"pity they didn't have a high precision driver:" :D:D
That last one sponsored by "BigBoysToys". There's a place in Michigan called that. The owner has a body shop & they recondition 60-70's Detroit big iron & sell it in a showroom.
